As U.S coast guards are searching for 15 illegal immigrants who went missing between St. Maarten and the BVI waters, after the boat they were in capsized during the week

Human body parts were recovered off Peter Island between yesterday and last evening, police disclosed today, July 16.

Police stated that they received a report that what appear to be a human leg was seen washed up on the sea shore on Peter Island. Members of the Major Investigation Team and Scenes of Crime Unit responded; and conducted investigation.

According to police, also, during investigation, what appeared to be other body parts of a human including an arm were also recovered.

“The suspected human remains were tagged as John Doe and are presently at Peebles Hospital Morgue. Investigation into the recovery of the body parts continues.”

This news came as U.S coast guards are searching for 15 illegal immigrants who went missing between St. Maarten and the BVI waters, after the boat they were in capsized sometime during the week.

Four of the persons on the vessel survived and are being held by BVI Immigration Authorities. Only, US officials have confirmed the incident, but BVI security officials continue to remain mum on the incident.
