Banco di Caribe CEO Fons Simon

Social Media has become an undeniable source of communication and exchange over the past few years. Many companies have implemented Social Media to communicate and in most cases relate to their clients in order to offer improved products.

BdC’s CEO Fons Simon shares his view on how Social Media influences companies and people in everyday life.

The influence.
“Social Media influences everyday life in different ways. Social media mostly have a positive influence, but of course they are channels that can be used in a less positive way as well. Hopefully, the positive influences, with inspiring stories and motivational content will outweigh the less positive ones.”

On the essence of Social Media channels for companies like Banco di Caribe.
“As the world is changing and people are more connected, they are important media to try and reach our clients and possibly also potential new clients with valuable and useful information.”

His own use of Social Media.
Personally, I basically scan Facebook, LinkedIn and Instagram for information, news and developments that may affect our company. I also follow my family members, friends and favorite sports teams.

Feedback from the BdC Facebook page visitors.
I expect and hope that our clients, potential clients and visitors give us positive feedback in order to improve on services or products they use or would like to use. Also, to let us know about the things they like; as a reinforcement that we are providing them with value added services and products.

  1. Excuses twee tikfouten in eerder posting!
    @Marlon,
    ‘Break-up’ refers to the monopoly position. Mama Bell was “broken up” into 7 baby Bells. AT&T is one of them.

  2. Hoedanook schrijft:
    Social Media as a marketing tool, triggered calls for the breakup of the social media platforms similar to the breakup of the Bell System (telephone).

    Ik schrijf: it won’t go down that way.
    Social media facebook, twitter etc will only breakup once we all realize that these are useless tools and waste of time.

  3. Fons Simon States the obvious. After the latest US Presidential elections, the power of Social Media as a marketing tool, triggered calls for the breakup of the social media platforms similar to the breakup of the Bell System (telephone). Trough the use of Facebook an Twitter the US presidential elections could be shifted to an ‘unlikely’ candidate representing an ever decreasing part of the electorate.
