WILLEMSTAD – The IT platform ISACA Curaçao Chapter is organizing its annual conference on 4 and 5 September 2018 entitled ‘Mastering digital transformation-Building a Robust Future’ at the Central Bank of Curaçao and Sint Maarten.

With the conference, ISACA wants to give Curaçao better insight into the new possibilities of the information technology and to better manage challenges. The world is undergoing extreme changes as a result of the rapid developments in technology. The impact of this on a company is important, as it changes the infrastructural needs as well as the speed of commerce. It is not easy for companies to make the right decisions when it comes to applying new technologies.

International experts

International experts from the United States, Canada, Italy, Aruba, Curaçao and the Netherlands will discuss the latest changes in technology and how to implement them successfully during the conference. On the first day of the conference, topics are highlighted as ‘The Dark Web’, ‘Big Data’, ‘Change Management’ and ‘Risk Management’. On the second day, one business case is highlighted from various angles. The fictitious company Krio-Trade will undergo a transformation from a contemporary wholesale and retailer to a fully digitized modern organization. Live systems will be presented to the participants. In addition, the event offers participants the opportunity to network during the sponsored breakfast, lunch and happy hour.

ISACA

ISACA is an international professional association in the areas of IT governance, IT auditing, information security, cyber security and risk management of automation. ISACA is active worldwide and was founded in 1967. The organization aims to bring the aforementioned disciplines to a higher level by professionalizing the members of the association. This is done, among other things, by facilitating research in the disciplines and setting up a register of professionals who have demonstrable experience and passed the exams in the disciplines.

ISACA has 160,000 members in 215 chapters. A chapter is an ISACA branch in a country, just as ISACA has an office on Curaçao. ISACA Curaçao chapter was founded in 2014 and has won the prize for “Best Small Chapter worldwide” thrice, in 2015, 2016 and 2018. The number of members of Curacao chapter has grown to 88 in this short period of 5 years.
