Aruba, Bonaire and Curaçao are the closest gateway to the European Union for Venezuela

CARACAS – As part of the bilateral agreements undertaken by the Venezuelan Government to promote trade, on Monday Governor Rafael Lacava led the Second Bilateral Technical Meeting between Venezuela and the Netherlands, held at the Capitol of Valencia, which included the participation of a diplomatic delegation from the Aruba, Curaçao and Bonaire, together with representatives of the Venezuelan national and regional governments.

It should be noted that the meeting is part of the restoration of trade relations between the Venezuela and the ABC islands, after the suspension by the Venezuelan State last January of this year, regarding the commercial exchange that both countries maintained.

During his speech, the regional president said that “today is an important day to continue the work that our Vice President of the Republic, Tareck El Aissami, started with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of the Netherlands on April 7, for the sake of discussing and articulating of the situations that were presented in the past.”

Meanwhile, he assured that Venezuela opens its arms to the international community, “because it is a country that has always believed in good relations with its neighbors, allies and business partners.”

In this meeting, Lacava said that despite the claims that hover over the country qualified in his opinion as an “unfair narrative”, President Nicolás Maduro demonstrates with this type of initiatives, that agreements can be conceived through dialogue and mutual understanding.

“We believe that we must meet to strengthen the business between both peoples, both political, governmental, business and economic realities, which are articulated in this multipolar world; a world that takes advantage of the opportunities, the comparative and competitive advantages offered by each of the countries, and we believe in that. Aruba, Bonaire and Curaçao, are from my point of view, our gateway closest to the European Union,” said the regional president.

    Mag ik even spugen?
