American Airlines offers more access to Curaçao with new service from Charlotte

WILLEMSTAD – American Airlines tomorrow begins service fromCharlotte Douglas International Airport(CLT) to Curaçao International Airport (CUR), further expanding the airline’s network in the Caribbean.

With this new flight, customers will have access to more than 720 daily flights to more than 140 destinations around the world from its hub in CLT.

The new service operates on the following schedule (all local times)

 With the addition of this new flight, American now offers15weekly flights to Curaçaofromits hub in Charlotte and Miami.

“We are thrilled to increase our service to Curaçao, especially as we approach our45th anniversary in the country next year,” said Nelson Cortes, general manager in Aruba andCuraçao. “With this new route our customers will have increased connectivity in the U.S. and around the globe through our hubs in Charlotte and Miami.”

The new service between CLTand CURoperateswith an Airbus A319, configured with 12seats in Business Class and 112seats in Main Cabin.

American is investing more than $2 billion in improvements to give customers a superior travel experience around the world. These investments include fully lie-flat seats; international Wi-Fi; more in-flight entertainment options and power outlets; a new modern design for Admirals Club lounges worldwide; and an upgraded assortment of complimentary healthy food, cocktails and more. American is taking delivery of more than 100 aircraft this year, giving it the youngest fleet of any U.S. network carrier, orders include the Airbus A320 and A320neo family, A350-900s, Boeing 737 MAX, 777-300ERs and 787s, which will make American’s fleet even younger, more modern and fuel efficient.
