ORANJESTAD, WILLEMSTAD – The aviation company Aruba Airlines has emitted a press release were they want to clarify the company’s current situation.
According to the press release, there is a conflict between the two shareholders, Onno de Swart and Esteban Valles.
This has led to a lawsuit and the petition to the judge for a provisional ruling. The case was treated immediately and on February 10 at 5pm the judge has ruled in favor of the company.
The judge has decided to suspend Mr. De Swart and Mr. Valles. They are not authorized to make any decision on behalf of the company.
The judge has also ruled that Mr. Hubert Zievinger will take over immediately as interim director with all the authority of a statutory director. This means that Zievinger is the only one authorized to make decisions for Aruba Airlines. Zievinger’s appointment has already been registered at the Aruba Chamber of Commerce.
The judge has made this decision to bring tranquility for the employees and passengers of Aruba Airlines. This decision also guarantees that the company can continue operating. The press release indicates that there is confidence in the future of the airline.
The company also stated that the insurance of the aircrafts have been paid and that these will not expire. The company will continue to operate, according to the press release.
