WILLEMSTAD – The Member of Parliament for the opposition party MAN, Charles Cooper has sent a letter to the President of Parliament, in which he indicates that the investigation report into the Curaçao House, and especially Marvelyne Wiels, should be presented to parliament.
Cooper said that he noted in the media that this report was presented to the Prime Minister and is awaiting his reaction. “We don’t know if the report presented to the Prime Minister is the final report,” said Cooper.
This is the reason, according to the MP, that he’s requesting the President of Parliament to ask the Prime Minister if the Ombudsman is ready with her investigation and if parliament can receive a copy.
According to Cooper, article 28 subsection 1 of the Ordinance Ombudsman indicates that the ombudsman is entitled, immediately after the conclusion of an investigation, to inform parliament of his findings and opinion.
