Curaçao turns up the heat at the New York Times travel show!

Curacao – NYTTS (4)NEW YORK, WILLEMSTAD – On January 23 – 25, 2015 at the New York Times Travel Show, the Curaçao Tourism Board captivated New Yorkers with information about the island and details on the new nonstop flights with JetBlue.

The New York Times Travel Show is one of North America’s premier travel shows, attracting a unique global representation of the world’s leading tourism markets including Africa, Asia, Australia/South Pacific, Canada, the Caribbean, Europe, Mexico, Central America, South America, the United States – and of course, Curaçao!

The show attracts more than 500 exhibitors from 150+ nations including domestic and international tourism boards, cruises, tour operators/outfitters, hotels/resorts and travel-related companies. CTB’s presence at the show was the perfect opportunity to get in front of 6,000+ trade Professionals, 600+ media professionals and 15,000+ consumers from across the tri-state area.

The CTB was joined by on island partners; Acoya Curaçao, Floris Suite Hotel, Santa BarbaraCuracao – NYTTS (6) Beach & Golf Resort and Sunscape Curaçao Resort & Casino. Not only did these partners help to strengthen the Curaçao brand at the show, but also supported our non-stop flights with JetBlue by reaching New York-based consumers directly with special offers and trip giveaways.

Throughout the three-day event, the Curaçao booth passed out over 4,000 pieces of collateral, and attendees were excited to learn about the new JetBlue service to the island.

In addition to the consumer trade show, the CTB also participated in the New York Times Travel Industry Conference, a comprehensive education program designed for travel professionals. Alongside the Caribbean Tourism Organization, Curaçao presented detailed information on a variety of key island events, such as Carnival and the North Sea Jazz Festival, to over 100 registered travel agents.
