WILLEMSTAD, SAO PAOLO – December 16 will be the beginning of the new direct flight between São Paolo and Curaçao. The charter operation, in partnership with CVC, Orinter, Flytour MMT, Schultz, Anchorage and Travel Agents, aims to help increase the number of Brazilian travelers, reaching the mark of 25 thousand visitors from Brazil during the next year, around 67% more compared to this year’s target.

“It is a demand that has grown a lot, quite significantly. From 2017 to 2018, we can already see an increase of 35%, every month,” says Curaçao Marketing Manager for South America, André Rojer.

The new service, which has a contingency plan for any eventualities, such as maintenance, will be conducted by Corendon Airlines and operated on a B737 with a capacity of 184 seats. The six-hour flight will take place weekly on Sundays at 11am, departing from Guarulhos International Airport, and on Saturdays at 4:10 PM, departing from Hato International Airport.

For next year, the increase in the frequency of the route has already been foreseen, attending better to the Brazilians, who are, according to Rojer, the tourists who spend more in the destination, arriving at an average of $ 250 per day.

“We hope to attract this audience even more, which represents part of the 400 thousand visitors we receive annually, behind only the Dutch and the Colombians, especially with this new campaign, which promotes local beaches and attractions, giving due attention to our tourists,” concludes the manager.
