WILLEMSTAD – According to the Minister of Economic Development Eugene Rhuggenaath, there is an increasing interest for the tallest building on the island, the Plaza Hotel. This hotel dominates the Willemstad panorama.
Minister Rhuggenaath informed parliament that he is in deliberation with a group and mentioned 30 million guilders as a price tag for the hotel. A big chunk of this amount will go to the both local and international creditors.
According to unconfirmed information, it’s a Chinese group that is interested in acquiring the Plaza Hotel.
