Marilyn Mozes resigns from coalition party to continue as Independent MP

WILLEMSTAD – The Member of Parliament for the coalition party PAIS, Dr. Marilyn Mozes has resigned from her party to continue in parliament as an independent member. The reasons for this decision are not known since Dr. Mozes is not giving any declarations to the media.

On her Facebook page she stated the following:

“I am now an independent member of parliament of Curacao. I do not and will not continue to support the Government actions against the people of Curacao. I thank everyone for their continual support and I am looking forward to continue working for you.”

PAIS is now in an emergency meeting and none of the party leaders are available to talk and answer questions.

Mozes’ decision means that the current government of Curaçao has lost its already small majority in parliament.
