Premier Eugene Rhuggenaath meets Eduardo Carles in Panama

PANAMA CITY, WILLEMSTAD – Prime Minister Eugene Rhuggenaath met with the minister of Agriculture in Panama Eduardo Carles, to discuss interesting opportunities for both Curaçao and the Central American country to collaborate. The Kingdom Ambassador in Panama, Dirk Janssen was also present.

The recent developments in the agriculture sector in Panama are very interesting for Curaçao. This brings new opportunities for local and international companies to increase their production, manufacturing, and export. Panama is positioning itself more and more twitternot only as the country that is managing the canal but also as an exporting nation.

This is why both countries are very interested in organizing trade missions where Curaçao importers and Panama’s producers and exporters get together to explore possibilities in the area of fishery, fruit and vegetables.

Getting them to the island cheaper and faster so both can benefit. “We’re going for it! Be on the lookout for more information on this in collaboration with our Ministry of Economic Development,” said the Prime Minister on his social media.

The Minister of agriculture also announced his meeting with the Prime Minister on his Twitter account.
