WILLEMSTAD – The Bruins couple has recently celebrated their 25th year traveling to Curaçao. Of course this was reason for the Curaçao Tourist Board (CTB) to give them a recognition.
For this occasion the Minister of Economic Development, who is also in charge of tourism, Eugene Rhuggenaath received this couple in his office to honor them.
The Bruins couple live in the Netherlands. They told us that on the occasion of their 40th wedding anniversary they opted to come to Curaçao on vacation with their children and grandchildren instead of having a party. Since that time they have been in love with Curaçao. The first time that they visited the island they stayed at the Plaza Hotel and afterwards they stayed at various parts of the island. The couple spends 6 months in Belgium and the other half of the year in Curaçao. They are here since last year November and will return to their country this month.
Minister Rhuggenaath elaborated during the couple’s visit on the positive developments in Curaçao, especially in the tourism sector. He also spoke about the vision for the next few years.
