PHILIPSBURG–MoneyGram International, a global money transfer company, on Wednesday announced its partnership with Cpost International St. Maarten to provide MoneyGram money transfer services at Cpost International’s Philipsburg branch.
Cpost is a logistics service provider specialized in postal and cargo services. “This partnership is a demonstration of our commitment to return to St. Maarten,” Chief Revenue Officer at MoneyGram Grant Lines said in a press release. “We look forward to partnering with Cpost International St. Maarten to provide first-class money transfer services and connect customers to their families and loved ones abroad.”
MoneyGram money transfer services allow customers in St. Maarten to send or receive US dollars across their network of 350,000 locations in more than 200 countries and territories worldwide. The company has also recently made its services available at several Cpost International locations in Curaçao, including Punda, Groot Kwartier and Paseata, as MoneyGram continues to expand throughout the Caribbean, the release said.
“MoneyGram has a great reputation for its innovative products and services, we will also introduce a new technology to reduce your time at the counter to just a few minutes,” said Chief Executive Officer (CEO) at Cpost International Thomas Roggendorf. “We are happy to partner with them so that we can provide our customers with greater financial inclusion and access to funds – quickly, reliably and affordably.”
According to the World Bank, Latin America and the Caribbean had the fastest pace of remittance growth at 7.8 percent in 2019. This was due to the continued strength of the US economy and a continuation of the 10 per cent growth in remittance flows that the region saw in 2018, which accounted for US $88 billion. MoneyGram is ready to meet the needs of families and loved ones throughout the Caribbean by offering them more locations to receive and send money transfers, it was stated in the release.
Cpost International St. Maarten is located at #33 Cannegieter Street in Philipsburg and will be open Monday through Friday from 7:30AM to 4:30pm and on Saturdays from 8:00am to 11:30am.
