Gilbert “Dibo” Doran was crowned Curaçao’s Tumba King with “Kòrsou ta den su gloria” early Saturday morning.
The son of popular singer Gibi Doran of GIO was accompanied by his band ONE. His song won the Bèti Doran prize for most attracting composition, while the arrangement by Randal Corsen took second place in that category. Ray Lauffer of Gentz was first runner-up with “Ban pa bai.”
It was composed and arranged by Axel Pikero, winning the “Maestro Toro Colina” first prize in the latter category.
