Environment Minister Christophe Emmanuel said this week that more clean ups will take place to relieve residents and businesses from the severe stench, but this will not come in a hurry, because of the rate the weed is coming ashore.
He told the press on Wednesday hours after an initial clean up more weed would just cover the cleared area thus waiting makes sense. “We are doing the best we can do. It is what it is,” he said, adding that this was simply Mother Nature at work.
