Symphony of the Seas will frequent SXM cruiseport | Daily Herald

MIAMI, Florida–The biggest cruise ship ever built will operate nearly half a dozen distinct seven-night itineraries in the Caribbean.

Unveiled this week, the initial schedule for Royal Caribbean’s 230,000-tonne Symphony of the Seas will include 7-night Eastern Caribbean voyages out of Miami to Basseterre, St. Kitts, Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas, and Nassau in the Bahamas.

The 16-deck-high vessel, currently under construction at a shipyard in France, also will sail 7-night Eastern Caribbean voyages that feature stops in Philipsburg, St. Maarten, San Juan, Puerto Rico, St. Thomas, and Labadee, Royal Caribbean’s private beach destination in Haiti.

Two more 7-night Caribbean itineraries will feature St. Thomas, Nassau and either St. Maarten or Labadee.

Symphony of the Seas will also operate 7-night Western Caribbean voyages that include stops in Roatan, Honduras, Puerto Costa Maya and Cozumel, Mexico, and Nassau.

The Eastern Caribbean itineraries start at US $798 per person, based on double occupancy. The Western Caribbean sailings start at US $848.

The Caribbean trips will kick off in November 2018 when Symphony of the Seas begins sailing out of Miami. Scheduled to debut in April 2018, the ship will spend its first few months operating a mix of seven- to nine-night voyages in the Mediterranean.
