THIS IS an open letter to Insel Air and Ministerie van Verkeer, Vervoer en Ruimtelijke Planning. What is happening to Curaçao is really deplorable. Yesterday January 11, 2016 received a ‘surprising’ phone call from Insel Air letting us know that the flight to Miami (January 12, 2016) was delayed. Nice right? NOT REALLY.
Not even 15 minutes later received another phone call from the same Insel Air-person stating that the flight will be on time = check in at 8:00 and scheduled to leave at 10:00 (Jan. 12, 2016). Arriving at the airport we were told that the fight was delayed and scheduled to leave at 11:00.
So I commented that the original message was true. But it gets better. At 14:00 received a phone call from our 64 year old friend who is traveling back to Miami, stating that she is still at the airport and the flight is now ‘ anticipated’ to depart at 19:00.
Yes, the word is ANTICIPATED because Insel Air is still not sure if they can make that timeline. But wait; now they are notifying the passengers that they are ‘ANTICIPATING’ the flight to depart at 23:00.
Mind you that the passengers are not allowed to leave the airport so they are caged in this departing hall since 8:00 in the morning (that is 15 hours). This shall be the last time I will fly, recommend to others or use Insel Air-service. With everything, ‘YOU MUST MAINTAIN YOUR MACHINES’.
This will have long term affects on our tourists and local people. Do not sent out a pre-written statement that states the ‘operational issues’ and ‘unusual sequence of technical problems’ since they occurred since the beginning of December 2015.
You know when the airplane is not working, do not lie to the passengers. Arrange them onto other flights that are heading to that particular destination. It is amazing that our ‘Ministerie’ is not dealing with this issue since they are the responsible entity dealing in and with the assurance of the travelling passengers.
If a flight is delayed more that 6 hours, the passengers should be allowed to exit the airport.

Ik snap niet dat Insel gewoon niet eerlijk en duidelijk kan communiceren naar haar klanten. Liever vertraging dan dat een vliegtuig naar beneden stort maar zeg dat dan ipv mensen uren zonder enige informatie op het vliegveld laten wachten. Als er een vertraging is van 12 uur heel jammer maar dan kan ik nog ff bij Campo langswippen bv.
Daarnaast moet men ook beter onderzoek doen naar bepaalde routes. La Romana Puerto Ordaz etc daar ga je echt niet winst uit halen… en zorg ervoor dat je altijd 1 toestel achter de hand hebt in geval van uitvallen van 1 vliegtuig
Inderdaad als je een relatie aangaat met het sprekende mantelpakje alias Schotte stoeipoes, prominent lid van de mafiapartij MFK, dan verlies je alle geloofwaardigheid, Heerenveen.
En dan ook nog Anthony Cijntje alias Centje inhuren als accountant. How low can you go.
Waar Stella van Rijn verschijnt, de integriteit verdwijnt.
Dus liegt Insel Air er maar een eind op los.
Zelfs met de jaarrekening, waarvoor ze het wijf Anthony Cijntje hebben ingehuurd die alles ondertekent als je hem maar betaalt.
Dat ging zelfs Deloitte te ver, reden waarom ze hem eruit gegooid hebben.

Dat komt doordat Heerenveen altijd te vroeg komt en dus moet hij dat later weer goed maken.
Ik begrijp niet dat mensen nog naar Miami vliegen met Insel Air. Ze zijn niet goedkoper dan AA (vliegveldbelasting zelf betalen bij Insel Air) en altijd te laat.
Hear hear! Thank you Mr. Zitman for taking this initiative and writing this. Insult Air’s service has become deplorable since the beginning of 2014. Cancelled flights at 1 o’clock in the morning to Suriname; continuous ridiculous delays for 20 minute flights to Aruba and back. I have become ashamed of having a Starmiles card in my wallet. It’s an insult!
