WILLEMSTAD – Politician Helmin Wiels has been followed by two members of a notorious criminal organization from Venezuela since September last year. This is according to the Dutch newspaper Telegraaf.
The pair was likely hired by some political opponents of Wiels, among them the former Prime Minister of Curaçao, Gerrit Schotte. The newspaper says it relies on sources within the Justice Department. This morning, the first court hearing took place in which four defendants appeared before the magistrate.
