De Gouverneur van Sint maarten Eugene Holiday

HARBOUR VIEW–Governor Eugene Holiday received the report on the coalition government possibilities from informateurs Nilda Arduin and Jan Beaujon on Monday. He has started discussions based on the report with leaders of the four political parties with seats in the incoming Parliament.

The report’s findings will be used as input for the process of the formation of a new government.
Holiday thanked the informateurs for completing their assignment on time.
The report will be made public once the discussions with the parties are completed and a formateur is appointed.
Four parties gained seats in what will be the country’s fourth Parliament, but none gained the needed majority of eight seats in the February 26 snap election to govern the country without a coalition partner.
United Democrats has seven seats, National Alliance (NA) five, United St. Maarten Party (US Party) two and St. Maarten Christian Party (SMCP) one.
